Some photos from Connection's Magazine Show

Some photos from Connection's Magazine Show...

Here are some tasty tid-bits from the show! Two photographs by local artist Sara Zigon: She’s currently in college with her own photography business; and btw her wedding photo portfolio rocks. Besides all that! She is just a pleasure! Wouldn’t mind working with her again! A wonderful personality! I'll post more photos again tomorrow!

First week at the Philip Hone Gallery

Sorry, I haven’t been to neverland, well, the blog anyway! The carpenter finally showed up! Yeah!!!!! Jump for Joy!! All the molding is finally complete. Now no more excuses, I will be painting trim all week long! Yuk….
I am still uncertain what “date” would be the best for the opening. I need more finances to complete the rest! I still need to get the signs made up, inventory for the storefront; and the cameras for the teaching room, anyone know someone who can help me with grants? Writing them?
Anyway…
I’ve enjoyed a full week working at the Philip Hone Gallery. This was my first week alone at the helm! I definitely have “a way to go”; physically I am shot! My legs have swollen up again.
This isn’t what I need right now. I need to recommit to eating right, but I have such issues with that whole healthy eating thing! Yes the juicing works, but how boring!!!! If anyone has suggestions of new; gluten & dairy free foods that actually taste good? tell me! PLEASE !!
Back to the Gallery News:
Wow, as a mother who has been in kiddy land for the last 20years, even thou I was tired, at the same time I was elated and inspired just being in the company of other artists. I have met so many inspiring people I can’t wait to share them all with you, hopefully in stories to come!
The Connections Show:
The Connections Magazine’s Artscene show was a Success! Well as far as I am concerned! I am glad that I stayed after my shift and hung around. They had four fantastic artists showing their work, a fairly diverse group; two photographers, an artistic gardener, and a collage artist.
Good food, wine, and new friends, the perfect ingredients for a fantastic night!
Maybe next time you can come with me! ! I have posted some pictures I loved from the night of the show,ENJOY!!!
#081 Me & Jimmy; my angel who helped me get thru!!
#099 The rainbow that showed up “just for me”
#100 My friend Bob “the rainbow” who helped close the show!
The night was great fun, I am tired and going to rest so thank you for helping, You know who you are! I’ll post more photos of the artists and their work tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping in and for all the support!! Love Caroline

Hollywood Movie Filming

Here I am in the small Pennsylvanian town of Honesdale, the last place one would think a big Hollywood director would choose to make his movie! Upon a closer look this town is charming and filled with one of a kind art & antique stores, mom & pop dinners and great food around every corner. Why not, this is the perfect small town!
Everyone is waiting and pacing for the movie company to make their move! Full of electricity & excitement the locals gather around the town hopeful to catch a glimpse of a big star!
My studio & the other local businesses were asked to leave all their lights on tonight, they are shooting a top secret movie in front of the building! Wow, I have more than enough work to do but looking out my window, waiting for them to come has gotten the best out of my creativity. I’m not sure how much artwork I will get tonight. The full moon is on her way… my evil twin artist will emerge... Tie me up, Please…

Opinion for cushion cover.

Trendy Cover for seat?
Dear hip and trendy friends your opinion is needed desperately!
I am covering that old chair seat and was asking which of the three patterns would be the best?
It is in my little office with the big flower chalk board mural.
Just leave an opinion, don’t have any cool little check list…

Wonderful Weekend

Exhilarated begining:
Here I am exhausted drained and exhilarated at the same time, my first week at the gallery. Wow, I don’t know where to start, but I can say “finally working in and around art is where I belong.” Working two days straight with no sleep to mention, I was amazed that I was still moving. Well, when the night was over I clasped. Then… I slept a full day away, not sure if it was a bug, or just maybe not strong enough yet? (Health wise)
Either way:
The show was wonderful; the work amazing, the concept was from our local artist & teacher, evolving the high school children. I will be posting all about it this coming week!

Studio NEWS: No new work this week! I am hoping to hire another person to take charge of the project! All work has stopped and I am pissed!

This is the difficult part we were doing this work our selves, most of it anyway…but we all work jobs!! Yes being a mother of four is a full time job!
Three months have passed; my scheduled opening is Memorial Weekend, what else can I do? My husband and son have done fantastic so far, but I have a ton of finishing to-do!! With my MS, painting ceilings is out of the question, electric is not my gig!! Thus trying to find someone to help without raking my last bit of savings is the dilemma! Help wanted ad is bringing nothing but lunatics from far-off! So hopefully… this contractor will except the offer and finish this place!

So I can actually draw & paint there! In time for an opening!
There is a major art fair the same Memorial weekend date, in front of my building, which would work out fantastic for me as my opening date! Taking on too much???
All my excitement is for the opening, but I don’t know if I can actually pull it off!
I am posting some sketches… Just playing around with a drawing of my daughter…..
I am going to start cleaning up and getting this place back together! So I can start all over again Monday morning!!! Wish me luck! Thank you for all of your support!
